This week found us back in our second home-from-home, Portugal, a country blessed with its rich culture, stunning landscapes, and innovative spirit.
The alchemy of Morgado do Quintão
Our journey began at the picturesque Morgado do Quintão in the heart of the Algarve. This historic vineyard blends Portugal's ancient winemaking traditions with an aspirational commitment to organic and regenerative farming. Strolling through the sun-drenched vines, one feels a profound connection to the land and heritage of the estate, but also a sense of renewal and growth.
A passion for art and design are deeply intertwined with the identity of the estate, much like the old vines on their land. A hub of gastronomy, music and crafts, Morgado do Quintão regularly hosts cultural events and exhibitions, and offers artist residencies, where artists can stay and work on their projects within the inspiring surroundings of the vineyard.

Lisbon by Design: Celebrating Innovation and Sustainability
A highlight of this week was taking part in the inspiring 4th edition of the Lisbon by Design exhibition which is taking place this week at the elegant Palacete Gomes Freire in Lisbon.
This event offers an annual spectacle of high end collectible craft and design pieces originating from Portugal and is a veritable celebration of creativity, showcasing the finest in art and design.
We were honoured to be part of the jury selecting the winner for the 1st Edition of the Morgado do Quintão Sustainable Design Prize. The aim of the prize is to support emerging designers who demonstrate a desire to include sustainability in their practices, helping to foster innovations that lead to a more sustainable future.
We will soon be sharing a deeper dive into the highlights of Lisbon by Design and the exceptional talent that was showcased, as well as the winner of the award.
