La-Eva x ARC
Founded by architect Tom Leahy in Spring 2022, ARC is a curated and crafted collection of the most remarkable country houses in the UK. Comfortably hosting up to 30 people per house, ARC re-imagines the traditional English country house as a theatre for designed experiences; sustainable, innovative, shared. Each property combines stunning architecture, interiors and landscapes with unique, local experiences.
The first two properties in the series were ARC Painswick - a 15th century wool merchant’s manor house at the heart of the town and restored to its ancestral beauty, and ARC Padstow - an 18th Century build restored to its original plan and nestled in the heart of St Issey, Cornwall. Further ARCs are now opening doors in the Lake District and Peak District National Parks, Suffolk, Surrey and Devon. Each of the properties are created in. collaboration with London-based architecture studio Parti and design studio Regular Practice.
Our bespoke La-Eva x ARC edition of products features the work of artist Beatrice Hassel McCosh.
Beatrice Hasell-McCosh
Artist Beatrice Hasell-McCosh grew up surrounded by plants in her childhood Cumbrian garden. Beatrice studied English and Classics at Leeds University and then spent two years studying at Leith School of Art in Edinburgh and The Royal Drawing School in London. Her work is in private collections around the UK, Europe, Japan and the USA.
Beatrice‘s work uses natural form and the tradition of landscape painting as the lens to explore emotional themes, identity linked to place and human connection. Drawing is vital to her practise and she uses closely observed studies made from life to make large-scale paintings.
